A total solar eclipse, to take place on Wednesday afternoon, will be visible in West China as a partial eclipse, the Guangdong astronomical society said.
A partial solar eclipse can be viewed in the Xinjiang Uygur, Tibet and Ningxia Hui autonomous regions, as well as in Qinghai, Gansu, and Sichuan provinces, experts with the society said.
The peak phase of the eclipse will last 247 seconds and Libya in North Africa will be the best place to watch.
The eclipse will also be visible in Brazil, Ghana, Togo, Benin, Nigeria, Niger, Chad, Libya, the Mediterranean Sea, the Black Sea, Turkey, Kazakhstan and Russia, and will end in Mongolia at 1147 GMT.
The solar eclipse takes place when the moon is cautht in between the sun and the earth while each of them moves along their fixed orbit. Enditem
